“I don’t believe in coincidences – I think I am the person that should do something about the history of the former Jewish district in Rabka-Zdrój.”
Narcyz Listkowski, Rabka-Zdrój
Kamila and Tomasz have been married for 13 years, and for the past 16 years they have been taking care of the Jewish cemetery in Zduńska Wola, coordinating activities to commemorate and preserve the memory of the town’s Jewish community. They emphasize that their projects can only be implemented thanks to the support of former Zduńska Wola residents from around the world and the assistance of countless volunteers.
“Why do we do this? We were motivated by curiosity about the world, our dreams, but first and foremost by a firm inner sense of moral duty that tells us to respect the past and the people without whom this world would not exist.”
Kamila Klauzińska and Tomasz Polkowski
